Sweet Swanky
Swanky left us in late 2021. We love you always and miss you every day.
Swanky was a pit mix who hailed from Michigan. Laura rescued her in a shelter during her MFA program at Michigan State University. Swanky was named after Swanky’s Vittles and Libations, a Wisconsin themed bar in Denver. Laura grew up in central Wisconsin and when she moved to Denver, frequented the rowdy Swanky’s.
Swanky was unique. She loved laying in the sun and panting, but she also loved more natural dog things like long walks and cuddles.
This is Swanky’s ceramic shop!
Busy Bisby
Bisby is our new addition to the family! He is a super mutt and super cute. (He is more photogenic than Swanky). He is named after a lake Alex and his family go to in upstate New York.
Bisby is a pandemic puppy who loves to play fetch for hours, run zoomies around the yard, and walk in the park. He also loves sticks of all shapes and sizes.
Laura made him a slow feeder bowl and it worked so great that she wanted to make them for friends and family. And here we are!
Laura and Alex
Laura is the artist, Alex, well, yet to be determined.
Laura is a ceramics teacher and a dog lover. Put those two together and this is what you get. Laura moved to Denver about 10 years ago and left for her MFA in Michigan. When she graduated and returned to Denver, Alex was waiting. They then fell in love, got a second dog, and started this online shop. (Among many other adventures)
Alex is trying his best to put this website together and take pictures of Laura’s pieces. His day job is supporting students in their career goals.
